"Estrela" - Gilberto Gil (Vicky Sun cover)

A year ago today, I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, and it seemed like everything was pointless and impossible. A very lovely and wonderful human scooped me up onto a rooftop, where we just happened to catch the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. I know. It's ridiculous. True story, though.

一年前的今天，我正卡在一個低潮漩渦而生命中的一切感覺起來既沒有意義又不可達成。一個可愛又美好的人就帶我去屋頂看夜景散心，結果竟然剛好遇到一年一度的英仙座流星雨。對，我知道很扯，我的人生是一齣八點檔。

This is a beautiful song by the amazing Brazilian artist Gilberto Gil, so I was initially very stressed about doing the song justice, but eventually the process actually became very peaceful for me. So here's the final product.

這首歌是巴西樂手吉貝托·吉爾超級美的一首作品，所以在摸索這個翻唱的過程中其實壓力很大，因為完全不知道自己能不能勝任一切的音樂跟意境。不過後來發現過程變成一種冥想，而這就是結晶。

3 vocal layers, 3 flute layers, 4 guitar layers, 4 percussion layers, and 1 ambient sound layer. Way too many hours of animating and deleting and re-animating and editing and video work. 1 photo that was my core inspiration and my happy place.
